DESCRIBTION:
Organization join more than 80 % of active Latvian fruitgrowers. The goals of organization are to represent fruitgrowing among other agricultural branches and act to keep fruitgowing traditions of Latvian farmers and make the fruitgrowing in Latvia economically attractive. Daily duties include management of relationships with Ministry of agriculture and other official agricultural institutions, collaboration with agricultural organizations, representing of Latvian fruitgrowing in COPA/COGECA, initiation and participation in development of official directives and laws on agriculture, informative activities, market research etc. Fruitgrowers association had participated in different informative projects about EU, had been partner in common projects with other agricultural organizations in different countries. Organization is author of many rules in fruitgrowing.
